Graduates of this professionally oriented bachelor's degree programme will be entitled to exercise the regulated medical profession of medical laboratory technician on the basis of the approval opinion of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic (No. MZDR 46401/2017-8/ONP) issued for this programme under Act No. 96/2004 Coll., as amended. The importance of this profession in the health care sector stems from the need for accurate and timely laboratory diagnosis in the diagnosis of disease prevention and during therapy, where laboratory diagnosis is currently irreplaceable.
