About the programme

The study programme Protection of Inhabitants Focused on CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiology and nuclear noxae and explosives) prepares students for state and local government authorities - crisis management workplaces, or other departments, for workplaces of industrial enterprises dealing with the detection of individual noxes. Graduates of the study programme will acquire the necessary knowledge about the causes, prevention, methods of dealing with and consequences of emergencies and crisis situations arising as a result of natural, technical, economic or social events. Attention is also paid to preparing students to deal with the consequences of accidents caused by radiation, radiological, chemical and biological factors, including their impact on human beings, flora and fauna, and the possibilities of their detection and prevention. Today's world poses various hazards. As the climate changes, we are seeing more and more frequent natural disasters with ever greater consequences. There are more and more industrial plants operating hazardous pollutants and the transport of these substances is increasing. This logically increases the number of accidents. The threat of terrorism is increasingly real, as are other possible threats to which our society must respond. For these reasons, there will be an increasing demand for experts capable of drawing up plans to deal with these situations and to deal with them. Graduates of the bachelor's degree programme "Protection of Inhabitants Focused on CBRNE" are a source of experts for dealing with these events.
