Why study at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences

WE TEACH PEOPLE TO HELP

The Faculty of Health and Social Sciences is part of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, located in a city of 100,000 people with a pleasant student atmosphere. The faculty holds an important position in the Czech Republic, mainly because USB is one of the few universities that closely connect health and social issues. The faculty places great emphasis on practical learning – it cooperates with respected health and social organizations, including hospitals and other important institutions. As a result, graduates often find employment in the institutions.

in which they practised during their studies. Our students travel to many countries around the world to gain experience in caring for children, adults, and seniors. In 2020, the faculty opened its own Simulation Centre for Health-oriented Fields. Here, students learn the practical skills they need in a safe and comfortable environment. Other classrooms and labs are also outfitted with modern equipment. The same goes for the Physiotherapy Centre and the Centre for Prevention of Lifestyle Diseases.
