Law
About us
The members of the Section of Law teach legal disciplines focusing on health, health-social, and social fields. They participate in preparing university-educated employees for health and social care professions in all associated areas; especially healthcare, social care, security and counselling.
Activities
The section's teaching strong point is connecting theory and practice due to the participation of experts from courts, police departments, health insurance companies, employment offices, etc.
The section's members present research results at lectures, seminars, and conferences, and publish them in professional journals.
When the members worked at the Department of Law, Management, and Economics, the section became the organiser of a regular international scientific conference titled "Human Rights in the Changes of Time". Its main idea was to contribute to spreading the awareness of human rights and to offer various opinions, ideas, and analyses regarding human rights from a variety of perspectives – as a discussion forum in a legal, social, socio-legal, and health-social context. The conference was designed as a platform for meeting experts from all areas of social work and human rights activism.
We aim to prepare educated workers with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the system where working with clients must be in accordance with European trends. We strive to teach students to be well informed about the legal system and have basic knowledge of necessary legal disciplines in today's knowledge-based society.
Goals
Teaching legal disciplines is primarily aimed at professions in the health and social spheres. Students must master basic legal theory and practice, but deeper knowledge of legislation is required for working in the helping professions.
