The eduroam network is a worldwide service providing access to the wireless networks of educational and technical institutions. It is accessible to all USB (University of South Bohemia) employees and students at most locations. The use of this service is free.
The procedure for setting up a wireless connection on the USB website:
An employee or student can get an account (name and password) by setting a freeradius password in the IDM user database. You can get a username for logging into IDM by searching for your data on the STAG portal (detailed instructions). You can create a password for the first login according to the instructions at: Helpdesk page. After logging into IDM, select Change freeradius password and the system will prompt you to enter a password of your choice. The password must have sufficient complexity. Otherwise, the system will not accept it. Once you have successfully entered the password, you have an active account on the Wi-Fi network.
The created account has the form:
The form of the name after @ is always jcu.cz, regardless of which faculty or institute you are from.
Complete instructions for creating an account and setting up Wi-Fi on computers with the Windows XP and Windows Vista operating systems can be found at: http://wifi.jcu.cz/.
